Electric Australian hooker who is set to revert to his natural position of half back with Warrington in 2006. Born in Taree, New South Wales, Sullivan played for Wingham Tigers as a junior before joining North Sydney Bears in 1998, the club for which his father John had played in the 1970s. Was included in the joint franchise squad when the Bears merged with Manly to form Northern Eagles in 2000, and made his NRL debut in the Eagles' opening season. Was signed by Australian Test coach Chris Anderson to the Cronulla Sharks for 2002, and he converted to hooker in order to secure a regular first-team spot in a side which already had Test half back Brett Kimmorley on the roster. A tough character despite his small build, Sullivan is inventive around the rucks and proved to be a dynamic line breaker playing primarily off the interchange, he was rated the best impact player in the NRL in 2004. Took the opportunity to establish himself in his coveted half back position with Warrington, signing a two-year deal with an option for a third. Shortlisted as one of the Nivea for Men/Cleo 50 most eligible bachelors in Australia in 2001
