WARRINGTON'S David Kilty is taking on the ING New York Marathon to help raise funds for the Alzheimer's Society.
And the first-time runner needs your help to reach his fundraising finish line.
David said: "As a slightly overweight forty-something and a marathon virgin, your support and generosity will help me during those long hours of training I'll need to make sure I don't get left behind when they do the clearing up!"
David, who will be running on November 5th this year, is raising money for the Alzheimer's Society.
He said: "The Alzheimer's Society provides information and support for those with any form of dementia and their carers.
"It advises professionals working in the field, funds research, runs quality care services and campaigns for improved health and social care and greater understanding of dementia. It's a most worthwhile cause."
