MOTORISTS in Halton are getting some of the cheapest petrol and diesel in the country, new figures reveal.
On average, price per litre for petrol is 97.9p and for diesel it is 99.1p across the north west, whereas nationally those prices are 98.2 and 99.5 respectively.
The AA's fuel price report for August also reveals the south west to be the most expensive region in which to fill up and average supermarket prices to be at least a penny cheaper.
