TOWN Councillors are due to discuss calls for residents only parking areas in a bid to stop motorists clogging up side streets in the centre of Nantwich.
Cllr Bill McGinnis will be asking Nantwich Town Council to support steps to alleviate the problem of shoppers and workers parking in side streets to avoid paying parking charges.
Residents in the centre of town are calling for action as people continue to park on the street for free to avoid pay-and-display parking.
The worst hotspots have been identified as the Alvaston Road area, Volunteer Fields and South Crofts.
The issue will be discussed at the town council meeting on September 11.
Members of the public can attend the meeting at Brookfield Hall from 7pm.
