THERE were smiles all round at The Heath Technology College as the school performed well ahead of its expected target.
Students at the school were so successful at getting five or more A* to C grades they were 15 per cent above the target for the school. In total, 72 per cent passed their exams with more than five of the top grades, which is an improvement of three per cent on last year.
There was also early success for students who passed their AS Science exams, taken a year earlier than most students. Year 10 pupils also got in on the act and many youngsters sat their exams early in science and PE.
Top grades went to Gillian Mountford who gained three A* and six A grades and Emma Armstrong and Lauren Quayle both got three A*, five A and one B grade.
