AN adventurous hedgehog nearly met a prickly end when it managed to get itself stuck between a post and a fencing panel in Widnes.
The RSPCA called out firefighters to Leigh Avenue at 8pm on Tuesday, August29 to help the trapped animal escape.
The hedgehog was freed unhurt.
