HALTON Royal British Legion is holding an open day to celebrate 85 years since the poppy was introduced to commemorate Britain's fallen war heroes.
The event starts at 12.30pm on Saturday, September 1 at the Legion's base in Castle Road, Main Street. Call 01928-563 900 for details.
