to all our students

A-LEVEL success was evident at school sixth forms in Runcorn and Widnes this year.

St Chad's Catholic High School student Kelly Schofield was the school's biggest success as she gained two As in psychology and French and a B in English literature. She is now planning to go on to study psychology at Manchester University in September.

The school also achieved 100 per cent pass rates in 10 subjects from this year's results.

Arthur Graley, head teacher at St Chad's said: "We have a small sixth form and this enables us to support each individual to achieve their targets and I am delighted that so many have done so well."

Meanwhile Saints Peter and Paul RC High School in Widnes had particular success with a number of students being awarded three A grades.

Gus Van Cauwelaert, head teacher at the school, said: "We are very pleased with the A-level results achieved by the students at Saints Peter and Paul.

"Virtually all of our students have achieved the results they require to gain access to their chosen courses.

"We offer our warmest congratulations to all of our achievers."
