FANCY becoming a firefighter?
The search is on to find 80 budding employees who are willing to take on this challenging role.
"We want to recruit people with a real commitment to improving the safety of residents," said Cheshire chief fire officer Steve McGuirk.
"Modern fire and rescue services now have a whole new range of new duties and responsibilities, from responding to major emergencies to fire prevention work, with some of the most vulnerable people in our community.
"As a major employer, we want to ensure that our workforce is genuinely representative of all the communities we aim to protect."

Closing date for applications is September 5.
A shortlist of 80 people will be selected to attend recruiting courses starting in October and running into 2007.
Applicants will have to complete a range of physical, practical, written and numerical assessments plus an interview and medical.
