ALL creatures great and small took part in a fun-filled pet show.

A hamster lined up with a giant Great Dane as more than 100 animal lovers joined in the event at Runcorn's Heath Park.

"It went down really well," said Anne Faulkner, Runcorn Hill ranger. "It was free to enter and the winners all received mini trophies."

It was such a success, she hopes to run an even bigger 'Pets on Show' next summer.

H&M dog display team performed a demonstration.

Mark Evans won the 'lookalike hair' competition with his lurcher, George.

Shannon Doherty impressed judges as the best pet owner lookalike with her brown and white hamster, Beauty.

The happiest face award went to Keeran Morrow and his dog, Shady.

Marmalade, the dancing Dalmatian, won the best trick award with his owner, Jarred Byrom.

And the waggiest tale category was won by Sally, owned by Sue Findlow.
