WORK has started this week on a new development of 22 homes on the outskirts of Crewe.
The development, off Bradfield Road, is a collection of two bedroom apartments with parking and three bedroom mews and townhouses with garages.
Beverley Hall from developers Morris, said: "We have already had lots of interest, especially from couples and families looking to take their first step onto the property ladder.
"Crewe has excellent road links and the town's railway station provides regular services to Manchester, Liverpool and London."
John Poulson, from Butters John Bee in Crewe, added: "Crewe's property market remains buoyant thanks to the university and ongoing investment in the town.
"First time buyers as well as young families are keen on the area because property prices are amongst the most affordable in the North West.
"The town offers everything you need on your doorstep as well as good schools. Plus Crewe is conveniently placed for the motorway network."
