BUSINESSES can now find out about major changes in fire safety legislation - at the touch of a button.
An innovative online campaign has been launched by Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service to make it easier for companies to keep informed.
John Redmond, fire safety area manager, said: "The automatic e-mailing system is a great way for business managers and those responsible for implementing the changes to get up-to-the minute information."
Businesses can register to receive automatic e-mail alerts by logging onto cheshirefire.gov.uk
The new Fire Safety Order 2005 replaces all existing fire legislation and will affect all employers, owners, occupiers and self-employed businesses.
A free one-day seminar is being held at fire service HQ, on September 26, to provide a practical insight into the implications of the new legislation.
Fire safety officers will also be visiting various venues around Cheshire in the run-up to October, to advise and inform about the new order.
