NANTWICH disappointed in a home draw against rock-bottom Oxton.

The Dabbers were always second best after Mark Debrabender (73) and Steve Renshaw (41) had steered the visitors to a creditable total of 217.

Professional Steve Paulsen claimed 3-41 but the run machine had a rare failure with the bat in a tame response.

Chris Hampshire top scored with an unbeaten 46 and knocks from Sadler (31) and Maynard (34) saw them close on 163-5 from their 55 overs.

Nine points keeps them sixth in ECB Premier.

If they want to stay top half, Nantwich need to see off relegation-threatened Birkenhead Park at home this Saturday; start 12.30pm.
