SANDBACH fund-raisers have helped raise hundreds of pounds to provide a laptop computer for a charity.
The Rotary Club of Sandbach Crosses has paid for the £500 laptop for Sandbach-based Crossroads, which provides respite time for carers who look after long-term sick or disabled members of their family.
Club president David Twidale said: "We were delighted to use some of the funds we have raised to assist a local charity which provides such valuable help for carers in our community."
Crossroads manager Lucy Whiting said the laptop would help the charity co-ordinate its respite care for more than 170 families in the Cheshire area.
She said: "It will be a valuable tool in making sure we provide assistance to carers who may need just a few hours off a week from the full time job of looking after long-term sick or disabled members of the family."
