IN response to the person who shops in Halton Lea, bemoaning the lack of good bookshops or baby wear shops, rather than go all the way to Liverpool or Warrington, why not try Runcorn town centre?
Curiosity Bookshop may look small from the outside, but it is one of the largest independent bookshops in the north of England when you step inside.
With masses of children's books and textbooks for students in the front room off High Street, adult fiction and non-fiction in the room accessed from the Somerfield car park and the first floor dedicated to bargain books, there's something for everyone.
And if we haven't got it we can usually get it within 48 hours.
And as for baby accessories, Lullabies in Church Street has a huge stock of prams, including Mamas and Papas, Silver Cross, MacLaren, Graco etc.
While the range of cots and cradles upstairs has to be seen to be believed.
Best of all, they're on the doorstep, cost no more and you get great personal service.

The Curiosity Bookshop
