A CREWE high school has been hosting a busy summer school for its future pupils.

Victoria Community Technology School organised the series of workshops for Year Five and Six pupils from their partner primary schools.

The youngsters were given an idea of what lessons will be like there.

They took part in food technology sessions creating healthy scones, followed by a detection lesson in science to discover the ingredients.

History lessons saw pupils looking at the Romans and life as a gladiator, while geography gave them an insight into map reading.

Pupils acted out sketches in drama and music pupils learned how to perform in their own samba band.
