CASTLEFIELDS residents are going for gold in a variety of challenges that will test their diverse talents.
The Castlefields Gold Awards are a variety of events that neighbours of all ages can get involved with to compete against each other to win a coveted gold medal. Among the competitions and exhibitions organised include photography exhibitions, a master chef cook off and pool competiton.
There are plenty of prizes up for grabs for the best in each category with winners being presented their prizes at an evening at The Brindley Arts Centre in November.
The event will run until November and has received funding from Liverpool Housing Trust (LHT), CDS Housing and Halton Borough Council.
The rest of this month will see the next two rounds of a five-a-side football tournament, a photography exhibition and a boxing exhibition at Castlefields Community Centre.
A calendar of events can be downloaded from lht.co.uk or for further information contact Jane Smith on 01928 704752 or Jeff O'Carroll on 01928 706821.
