CREWE Wolves bounced back with a thumping 46-12 victory over Warrington Wizards.

Mark Foster stuck the boot into the opposition almost literally as the town's rugby league boys ended a run of four straight defeats, last Saturday.

Quality kicking out of hand and seven conversions paved the way to success in front of another decent crowd at Legends.

After blowing a sizeable lead last time, Crewe were determined to erase those errors and got a great start.

A penalty for offside near the line was duly punished when John Smith crossed it for a 4-0 lead.

Warrington hit back almost immediately with a flowing move, the ball passing through several sets of hands before prop Mike Bridge crashed over.

A wake-up call, the Wolves received it loud and clear, Smith making an excellent interception and racing 70 meters to record his second try.

Jack Warrington was next to score, bursting over from close range before Foster bagged the extras for 16-4.

Things just got better and better when Wolves hooker Simon Burley danced his way across thanks to more creative running and handling by Smith and Foster.

Stand out prop Bob Morrell kept the visitors interested when ploughing over but Chris Maloney had the final say of the half, putting the ball down in the corner for 34-8.

Second rower Warrington made it a double only three minutes into the restart and although Paul Wilson capped off a decent spell from the Wizards, Smith completed victory with his hat trick.

They travel to high-flying Ormskirk Heelers on Saturday.
