Appleton Cricket Club were gifted 25 points at the weekend as Eastham and Bromborough conceded the game due to a lack of fit players.
The default win moved Warrington to joint top of the Cheshire Building Society Cricket Alliance Division Two table alongside Disley.
World Cup football fever seemed to be in charge as Kerridge's second team also conceded maximum points to Appleton's second XI on Saturday.
Appleton's seconds were in action on Sunday but lost to Aston in the first round of the League Cup.
Appleton batted first and a great knock by Chris Grumley saw them reach 110 for 1.
But the poor form of late returned as the next nine wickets fell for only 46 runs, leaving Appleton on 156.
Despite some good bowling by Oliver and Towey, Aston ran home victorious with five overs to spare.
Appleton's Sunday side recorded another win against Ormskirk.
An excellent ton from Dave Hurst and a 50-ball maiden ton by Tom Broadbent pushed Appleton to 307 for 3 off 40 overs.
Ormskirk tried in vain to keep up with the run rate but ended up losing by 57 runs.
