Juliet's joy at transplant medal
A LYMM woman won one of 21 British medals at the second Chinese Transplant Games.
Kidney transplant athlete Juliet Harris won a bronze in badminton and also demonstrated successful organ donation from living family donors, a practice hindered in China until now.
The 41-year-old is expected to compete in the British Transplant Games in August.
Fair play to them
THE borough's year five and six mixed athletics team won a fair play award at the eighth Cheshire and Warrington Partnership Youth Games at Ellesmere Port.
Further success came with the girls' year seven and eight tag rugby team winning gold, while runners-up slots were secured by the year five and six water polo team and girls' cricket team.
Byrne the winner
ANDREW Byrne was the winner of Warrington Dolphins Long Distance Swimming Club's annual Marbury Park one-mile handicap race.
Byrne matched his handicap time, while second-placed Michaela Richard and third-placed Christian Wade were within three seconds of their times.
New bowls venue
A NEW venue has been announced for the Clara Shawcross women's bowls competition.
The event, open to Parks' league players, was scheduled to be played at Bewsey Park but has been moved to Orford Park and will take place on July 13 at 1pm.
Entries, including the £1 fee per person, should be sent to Barbara Barrett, 50 Perth Close, Fearnhead, Warrington.
Coaches wanted
WARRINGTON Wolves are seeking experienced rugby league coaches to work as part of the club's scholarship programme.

Darts meeting
GRAPPENHALL Darts League's annual meeting will take place at GYCA on Wednesday at 8pm.
Teams, who must have at least 12 registered players, wanting to join the league must hand in a £20 deposit at the meeting.
Players required
ROPE and Anchor JFC are looking for quality players to add to next season's under 10s team.
