WILL transport policy get a rethink from the new ruling Conservative-Lib Dem alliance?
Colin Daniels, from the Chamber of Commerce, hopes so. He wants the new executive board to look at the issue anew.
He wants congestion tackled - but is not in favour of tough measures like congestion charging, but increased strategic road building.
Clr Brian Axcell, new board member for transport, said: "I personally don't think road building is the answer.
"And I would be very reluctant to go down the road-charging route.
"I think what we need is more use of public transport. We need people off the road and into buses and trains."
