FINANCIAL wrangling over who pays for road improvements is delaying the Omega decision, the Warrington Guardian understands.
The developers are in talks with Warrington Borough Council over how much they will pay after the Highways Agency demanded it cut congestion.
A planning decision on the £1b business park has been consistently put back as the final amount is sorted out and the Omega partnership believes it could be next year before it goes to the planning committee.
An Omega spokesman said 'broad agreement' had been reached on transport matters, with the emphasis on providing effective public transport links.
They added: "The partnership is now in discussion with Warrington Borough Council to determine a final sum for the transport strategy and some additional highway works."
