THERE'S a happy ending in the tale of Molly, the 12-year-old bearded collie cross, who was featured in last week's Warrington Guardian.
Molly went missing after she chased after a rabbit in Sankey Valley Park while on a walk with her owner, Catherine Moore.
The rescue dog was reunited with Catherine after she was spotted on an industrial estate near Gemini Retail Park.
A staff member coaxed him into a building with sausages and then called the dog warden who immediately recognised Molly from her picture in the Guardian.
She called Catherine and the pair were reunited.
Catherine said: "There are no words to describe the feeling of getting Molly back. She looked as if she'd been trapped somewhere and couldn't get out because her fur was all knotted and she was exhausted. She's an old dog and her adventure had taken its toll but she's back to herself now."
