RAVENBANK Primary School is closed today after freak storms caused the roof to collapse.
Cheshire Fire Service was called out last night, Wednesday, after too much water collected on the roof - which collapsed under the pressure.
Teachers were cleaning up the water logged building this morning and the Lymm school is expected to be closed until at least Monday.
Flooding was also reported in other areas in the village and in Woolston following the heavy rain and thunderstorms.
Keep logging on for updates throughout the day.
Woolston Lesiure Centre is also closed until further notice and council officers are currently conducting a clean-up operation. There are electrical works and health and safety checks to be carried out.
