NORTHWICH Victoria manager Steve Burr is satisfied he has the squad he wants for the club's return to the Conference National.
His team have been handed a daunting opening to the campaign, with a trip to Cambridge United for their first match on August 12, but Burr insists his team will be ready.
He said: "We always knew it was going to be tough.
"Playing Cambridge and later Oxford away inside a month is a real test for us, but it's also exciting."
Goalkeeper Phil Senior became Vics' fifth signing of the summer on Friday.
The former Huddersfield shot-stopper replaces Kris Rogers between the posts, who Burr confirmed is leaving the club.
Senior, 23, made more than 50 appearances for the League One side since he graduated from their youth ranks, including an FA Cup Third round match against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in January.
Burr said: "Phil is a great signing because he's still young but has had chance to amass that experience of playing league football.
"He may see us as a springboard to get back to that level, but in the meantime we're delighted to have him."
The Trickies' boss hinted that Senior's arrival may bring a halt to his transfer dealings for the time being.
He added: "I'm happy with the signings we have made."
"There is perhaps room for another midfield player but we are covered everywhere else."
Burr will now concentrate on preparing his squad for their forthcoming friendlies.
By finishing his summer shopping early, he will be able to integrate the new faces into Vics' established system.
Former Vics defender Ben Chapman has joined Nuneaton Borough.

l Meanwhile, Northwich Victoria Supporters' Trust elected a new board at their annual meeting last week.
Paul Stockton will remain as chairman for the next 12 months.
He praised retiring members John Gleave and Walton Bowyer for their contribution to the body since its launch two years ago.
Last week, the Guardian reported how Gleave handed in his notice after fans attacked him on the trust website message board for proposing set to up a supporters' association.
Stockton said: "John, sensibly I think, withdrew his motion.
"Instead the board has resolved to develop the trust over the next 12 months in meeting the needs of the supporters and the local community as well as supporting Northwich Victoria Football Club."
