HOW far could you travel from Northwich Railway Station? Manchester, Chester or throughout the UK?
You may be surprised - I was - that you could travel worldwide. This is not magic but a reality.
Eight weeks ago, I viewed computers with suspicion and fear but since visiting a suite of rooms at Northwich Station called The Zone, I have had many trips around the world via the Internet and been overwhelmed by the mass of information coming from the once feared computer.
The Zone welcomes people of all ages and arranges courses from beginners to the more advanced. The staff are skilled and experienced with a great understanding of the learning patterns of all ages. They also have a great sense of humour, so important when learning new skills.
If you are starting from scratch there are no problems. I couldn't switch a computer on eight weeks ago. There are other courses such as learning to play the guitar and camera work, and the cost is free. Yes, free.
I have found that travelling the world in front of a computer makes one hungry. Again no problems because within the Zone there is a very nice caf that serves excellent food and drinks at very reasonable prices, also with a smile!
Northwich is fortunate to have such a facility and how many railway stations can boast of such a service?
