WIDNES RUFC have shown their intentions to achieve promotion back into North West Two at the first attempt with the announcement of two further signings to boost their squad.
Stand off Andy McIntosh and experienced prop forward Derek Dyer have made the short journey from Halton RUFC to join the Heath Road club.
The two new recruits will provide the club with a much larger squad of players to choose from, as well as providing valuable competition for places among the first-team squad.
Head coach Lee McDermott is delighted with his new signings.
He said: "Andy is a big powerful stand off with good hands, great vision and will give us plenty of go forward on the pitch. He is also an outstanding goal kicker.
"Derek is a very experienced prop and his knowledge and enthusiasm in the front row will provide us with just the right blend of youth and experience on the pitch."
The junior section will be hosting a training day with Sale Sharks on August 6 at 10.30am at Heath Road.
