WARRINGTON residents who bank with the Cheshire Building Society have helped raise £19,447.50 for children across the region.
Every year thousands of children face problems because of poverty, disability and abuse.
NCH, the children's charity, make a real difference to their lives by providing a diverse and local network of projects throughout the UK to help children reach their full potential.
The £19,447.50 donated by the Cheshire Building Society will be used by NCH to support three projects across Cheshire.
In Warrington, part of the cash will be donated to the Butterfly Project, which provides practical and emotional support to families who have a child with life-limiting or life-threatening illness.
The Cheshire donates out
its own funds equal to one per cent of the average total balances of their Caring for Children Saving Accounts over the year directly to NCH - meaning the more money members save, the more money donated to NCH.
Supporters of NCH can make their own contribution to the charity by visiting any branch of the Cheshire and opening a Caring for Children Savings Account with as little as £1.
