AN INTREPID student is urging World readers to venture up Mount Snowdon and help cancer patients.
Helen Chin, 19, is working with Marie Curie Cancer Care to raise funds as part of her course at Trinity & All Saints College, Leeds.
"Before working for this charity, I had no idea of the amount of effort that goes into organising such great events," said Helen.
"Their sponsored walks are not only great fun, but they can make a difference to peoples' lives in the community."
Helen is looking forward to tackling the mountain challenge this week.
She is now calling on fundraisers to support the next climb on Sunday, October 8.
Stephen Tongue, community fundraising manager, said: "All the money you raise will be used to help our nurses care for terminally ill patients.
"We want to ensure that more people in the local area can spend their final days in the most comfortable surroundings they know - their own homes."
Marie Curie provides high quality nursing, totally free, to give terminally ill people the choice of dying at home, supported by their families.
