A £32 MILLION interchange is set to give a boost to passengers travelling to Liverpool John Lennon Airport and give Halton residents improved access to up to 11,000 planned new jobs.
The Liverpool South Parkway interchange will transform public transport in south Liverpool, providing fast and efficient links to the airport.
"It will be a tremendous asset," said Neil Pakey, chief executive of Peel Airports.
"Airport users in Manchester, Warrington, Cheshire and Lancashire will now have easy, high quality public transport to the airport."
