NANTWICH traders are being invited to the latest in the series of crime related workshops next month.
The free workshops, run by the borough council together with the Police and Fire Service, have been a valuable training aid to the area's commercial sector.
The next meeting, which will focus on fire safety, will be held from 6pm on July 5 at The Stables, Alvaston Hall.
Speakers will include Detective Constable Nigel Mills talking about the threat of arson in the workplace and simple steps that businesses can take to reduce the risk.
Firefighter Phil Edwards will also cover the forthcoming Fire Safety Order, which is due to come into force in October.
This order replaces all existing fire safety legislation and it is vital that business owners are fully informed about it.
Finally Miles Dignam of the Cheshire Constabulary will offer information on new powers of arrest.
