A TIME trail of Nantwich's top landmarks has been unveiled in a novel new scheme to attract visitors to the town.
The historical walk, which features a series of bronze plaques positioned outside buildings of interest, is the town's latest weapon to entertain and educate both native Dabbers and tourists.
The plaques are designed with a clock-face and, combined with a brand new guide, take people on a walk around the town's hotspots chronologically from one 'hour' to the next.
Elaine Dodd, town centres manager, said: "I'm grateful to the Nantwich Civic Society for assisting with the historical information in the guide.
"It's our intention that the guide remains flexible and the clock-faces can be easily added to in the future by using various minutes around the clock.
"This is an exciting scheme and I hope it adds to people's enjoyment around town.
"Those following the trail will find historical inns, fine restaurants and cosy cafes, together with a wealth of unique and different ideas in over 250 specialist stores and a traditional market."
Additional historical information and venue publications are available at Nantwich TIC, while copies of the guide are available at all borough council venues and many town outlets.
Nantwich Civic Society said that the trail was a long-awaited and welcome addition to the marketing of the town.
