PAUL Rauhihi has admitted that he feels he has let people down by being injured during Wolves' worst spell of the season.
Rauhihi, who joined Wolves from North Queensland Cowboys at the start of the season, has only been able to make eight appearances for the club so far because of injury.
The 33-year-old missed two months at the start of the season with a hamstring problem and is currently sidelined with a back injury that should keep him out for a few more weeks yet.
There is little Rauhihi could have done about the injuries but it is still something the club captain feels guilty about.
He said: "I feel like I've let a lot of people down by being injured.
"It's something I probably couldn't help but I still can't help but feel that way.
"This is the worst run of injuries I've had in my career so far. It's like all my off seasons have come at once."
Rauhihi had played a key role in Wolves' best spell of the season and was sensational in the home win against Leeds, so he is keen to get back on the field as soon as possible.
He said: "Before the injury I felt like I was starting to get back into the groove of how I had been playing and, with the weather being so great now, it makes it even harder to sit on the sidelines.
"It's been pretty tough to handle mentally but I've got a pretty good support crew at home.
"I'm just hoping to get the injuries out of the way and move on. I'm getting really hungry to get back out there now."
Paul Wood will find out tomorrow, Tuesday, whether he will miss Sunday's home match against Huddersfield through suspension.
Wood was dismissed for fighting during Sunday's 52-26 defeat at Castleford and has been ordered to appear before an RFL hearing in Leeds at 6pm.
Ben Westwood has escaped a ban despite being sent to the sin bin and placed on report for his role in another brawl.
Rob Parker, Brent Grose, Stuart Reardon, Michael Sullivan and Michael Cooper crossed for Wolves during the loss, with Lee Briers goaling three times.
