A PIG'S head has been discovered among flowers laid in tribute at the spot where a policeman died.
A council worker made the gruesome find as he drove by the spot where the former Warrington policeman died in a motorbike accident in Northwich.
PC Tony Heaton was based at Warrington Police Station for nearly a decade, where he worked as a patrol officer and a car crime officer and picked up a Chief Constable's Commendation for his work.
The 38-year-old died on Chester Road in the town on Monday, June 12, when his red Triumph motorbike failed to negotiate a sweeping bend and left the road.
Tony Denton, who made the discovery said: "I was driving on a tractor so was able to see it clearly. I couldn't believe what I saw."
