A FORMER Warrington Wolves player has been suspended for two years after failing a drugs test.
Jamie Durbin was a Wolves squad member from 2001 to 2005 and currently plays for Widnes Vikings.
The 21-year-old Widnesian was found with the banned anabolic steroid stanozolo in his system following a test in March.
At a meeting of the Rugby Football League's advisory
panel in Leeds, scrum half Durbin was found guilty of breaching its doping control regulations.
Durbin, who signed a season-long deal with Widnes in February this year, failed the random test by doping control officers in March. He took the drug before joining the club.
Durbin spent much of his time with the Wolves on loan to Widnes and Rochdale before being released from his contract in December.
