I THINK Wigan will stay up this year and always have done.
A lot of people have been writing them off but I believe most players in the competition will think they will not go down.
I wouldn't want to pick who will go down but I just can't see it being Wigan.
It would be a big turn-up if Stuart Fielden ends up playing in National League One next year though, wouldn't it?
Micky Dobson is doing a fantastic job for Wigan at scrum half and, for as long as he's there, I'm sure they'll be competing with sides and beating sides.
I'm a big believer in what Dobson is doing for them. He's the main man at Wigan, he's the linchpin and the one that guides them round the park.
To have guys like Fielden taking them forward is going to make Dobson's life easier.
Last Friday was a big night for Wigan with Fielden making his debut and they played with a lot of adrenalin against us and built up a 12-0 start.
I thought we weathered the storm and got back into the game to give ourselves a chance.
Unfortunately, in the second half we turned the ball over too easily and good sides make that count. And on Friday Wigan were a good side and deserved the win.
It's hard to find a positive after we had gone there to win but suffered a fourth successive loss.
It's disheartening but we've got to pick ourselves up and get on with it.
We're still in the top six, that's what we're playing for and we just need to push on with the season.
Simon Grix is one of our form players at the moment.
Simon's having a good run in the first team and, to be honest, he has been ready for this level for a long time - Cull sort of held him back a little bit so as not to rush him into the first team.
But Simon's earned his place now and I'm sure he'll hold on to it if he keeps performing well. The way he's going he's got a big future.
I think some of our other young guys are doing a fantastic job for us at the moment too. The guys that are coming off the bench, Andy Bracek and Steve Pickersgill, are bringing so much energy to the team.
They're standing up to be counted and really fighting for places, while it was also great to have Rob Parker back on board on Friday because he just oozes energy.
