A PHARMACIST has squashed rumours his Great Sankey premises will be a drug treatment centre.
The Barrowhall Lane building will be a normal community pharmacy that also does methadone prescriptions - like any community pharmacy.
Steven Abramson said: "There will be no needle exchange and my experience is that I expect few if any people coming for methadone prescriptions."
He added: "Having a new accessible pharmacy can't be anything but good news for the community."
The pharmacy, which is being built in the grounds of the existing doctors surgery, will open in September.
