DAREdevils raised £1,400 after an 80ft plunge for charity.
The abseil off the top of St Thomas' Church, on London Road, took place last Saturday.
All cash raised was donated to the Anthony Nolan Trust, a national leukaemia charity that helps 7,000 people each year.
A spokesman said: "All we asked is that participants raises sponsorship to help us with our lifesaving work, every £70 will pay for a one new person to join our register of bone marrow donors."
The church was built in 1867 and gives a panoramic view over the swing bridge, Manchester Ship Canal and across Warrington.
