Appleton remain in contention for promotion from Cheshire Building Society Cricket Alliance Division Two after defeating Wilmslow Wayfarers.
Spinner Brian Woods took 5 for 38 as Wilmslow were restricted to 185 for 9, before Mike Arnold, who made 65, and teenager Tom Lomas, who finished unbeaten on 84, built a partnership of 113 to put Appleton on the way to a seven-wicket victory.
Appleton's second team were hammered by 10 wickets at Wilmslow Wayfarers' seconds. Appleton were dismissed for only 167 despite solid innings from Tom Broadbent and Stu MacGregor, allowing Wayfarers to canter home without the loss of a single wicket.
The third team clinched a narrow five-run win at home to Glazebury's seconds after Kevin Lomas hit 67 not out and Paul Grumley struck 58 as the hosts finished their innings on 166 for 4.
Glazebury were then bowled out for 161 thanks to figures of 3 for 44 from Hughes and 3 for 23 from Bate.
