VICTIMS of crime will soon be able to let police know what they thought of the service they received.
Bosses at Cheshire Police are piloting an initiative in Warrington and Halton to ask people how they thought their incident was dealt with.
"There is a lot of good work carried out by officers and police staff in the northern area, but we accept that we may not always get it right," said Superintendent David Bertenshaw.
He added: "We will be asking a sample of victims if they are satisfied with the actions taken by officers, if they feel reassured or otherwise as a result, and most importantly, why."
The move is a bid to obtain feedback that police say will improve customer satisfaction and address any concerns victims may have.
The information will only be used by Cheshire Police and victims will be contacted either by phone or through a questionnaire in the post.
Anyone with information about crime can call Cheshire police on 0845 458 0000 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
