FIREFIGHTERS are setting up shop alongside the police at the Cheshire Show this week.
Both services are staging a series of interactive sessions for young people, including a computer-based fire safety programme.
There will also be the chance for young people to actually experience the effects that alcohol can have on the brain by wearing special simulation glasses.
It is the second time the two organisations have joined together for the Cheshire Show and they have booked a key area near to Gate 4 at the Tatton Park event, which is being staged today, Tuesday, and tomorrow.
Chief fire officer for Cheshire, Steve McGuirk, said: "The Cheshire Show is a high-profile event and by working in partnership with the police we can maximise the impact of our work to improving community safety.
Police Chief Constable Peter Fahy added: "The joint exhibition gives people a real insight in to the range and depth of the work the emergency services deliver."
