WITTON Albion have launched a search for future football stars.
Young players can sign up now for the club's first sports education programme, which starts next month.
And boss Jim Vince can't wait to get started.
"I want to establish strong links with local people," he said.
"What better way to start than this?"
Vince, who signed a two-year contract last month with the Wincham club, is conscious his responsibilities go beyond looking after the first team.
He said: "Part of my contract was to promote Witton Albion in the community.
"The football school is about showing kids how to fully enjoy the game, as well as improving their technique."
Vince said the skills learned on the course could be adapted to any sport - not just football.
"All the basic elements will be coached," he added.
"By the end I want players to be competent in ball control, passing, dribbling, shooting, tackling and heading."
There will also be small-sided games.
As well as scouting for new talent to join Albion's junior ranks, Vince said the school is open to youngsters who may not have given football a try.
He said: "It doesn't matter if you can't kick a ball.
"This is the first time we have done anything like this and we hope if it is a success this will be an annual event."
The classes, headed by club coaches with experience of training in the UK and the USA, will be held at Witton's Wincham Park ground, in Chapel Street.
Players aged from six to 16 can enrol, with classes taking place over a three-week period from Monday, July 17.
Groups will be split according to age; six to eight years, nine to 10, 11 to 13 and 14 to 16.
Each full week consists of five days, Monday to Friday, from 9am to 4pm daily.
Fees for a whole week are £60.
A full day costs £20, while a half day - either 9am to noon or 1pm to 4pm - is £15.
