A NEW logo and identity will be developed for Congleton Borough Council in a bid to update its image.
Consultation with residents and staff showed that people saw the current coat of arms logo as old fashioned and unhelpful.
New designs will be consulted on throughout June before a shortlisted design is taken forward to wider groups for comment and the final logo unveiled during July and August.
Helen Jackson, head of organisational development, said: "A new corporate identity for Congleton Borough Council offers an excellent opportunity to improve our reputation.
"We are committed to improving our communication and a good clear image will help residents link our services with Congleton Borough Council."
