CHILDREN at Over Hall Community Primary School in Winsford are being encouraged to get active as part of a scheme to improve health and fitness.
The school has started a golden mile scheme which involves children walking up to one mile every day with their classmates.
Teacher Julie Beckly said: "One of the main focuses during this year has been to increase the percentage of time every child spends involved in physical activities.
"After speaking to the children to get their thoughts on the activities there was a general feeling of enthusiasm towards taking part."
