A LITTLE luxury proved the winning way forward in Winsford as people lined up at St Luke's on Thursday to sample some treatments.
Beauty therapy students from South Cheshire College called at the Queensway palliative care centre during the National Hospice Awareness Month Go Yellow campaign, and it was not only patients who made the most of the visit.
Fundraiser Karen Keeney said: "As part of our Go Yellow campaign we were offered the services of the students to provide a pamper day for our patients, carers and their families. This was a lovely idea and it offered a special day at the hospice."
College lecturers Sandra Smith and Tracy Dony visited the hospice with 15 students and services such as facials, manicures, back massages, eyebrow shaping and makeovers were on offer.
Karen said: "This was a wonderful opportunity for students to experience a different angle to the one they were used to. Their work can really make a difference to patients and how they feel about themselves.
"We are very thankful for the support offered and we look forward to maintaining our links."
