WANNABE popstrels will have their chance to perform at a Winsford charity singalong this Friday.
The Big Friday Night Live show, being hosted at the Ways Green Conservative Cub from 7pm, will raise money for St Luke's Hospice and organisers Ross Lawson and Steve Cadby are hopeful the variety of entertainment on offer will help secure much-needed funds.
Steve, who lives in Winsford, said: "We have some really good performers in the X-Factor style competition and I think it will go down really well.
"Charity starts at home and that is Winsford, where St Luke's Hospice is one of the biggest charities. Ross and I just wanted to do something for St Luke's because we think it is a great charity and this seemed like a good way to do it."
Guests will pay £1 to vote for performers in the contest and Miss Cheshire, Miss Vale Royal and Miss Personality will be on hand to sell evening raffle tickets.
A late night disco and bar are bound to keep visitors moving late into the night but hospice fundraising manager Wendy Gibson said dancing is not all that is expected from attendees.
She added: "Lesley and Haig will be providing the entertainment although the audience will be encouraged to take part in the talent competition."
Tickets for the event are £5 and can be booked by calling the Conservative Club on 01606 592576 or St Luke's Hospice on 551246.
