DETECTIVES are still hunting a man who robbed a motorist after deliberately crashing into him near a busy Widnes junction.
The 19-year-old victim was driving his blue Ford Escort along Earle Road near Bowers Park when he was hit from behind by a white van.
After stopping to make a call to his boss to report the accident, a man appeared at the driver's side door brandishing a Stanley knife and demanding cash.
The terrified motorist handed over the money and the offender sped off along Watkinson Way towards Runcorn.
He is described as Asian, aged 24-25, 5ft 9-10ins tall, bearded and was wearing a grey cap, bulky black jacket and black biker gloves with orange markings.
Police have released this e-fit of a man they want to question in relation to the June 16 incident.
Anyone who recognises him or was in the vicinity of the Bowers Park pub or jet wash at around 11.40am and saw anything suspicious should contact Det Sgt Dave Walsh at Widnes robbery unit on 01244-613 730.
