LAST Thursday saw the completion of the first half of the Summer League fixtures and featured the clash between Roundhouse and Grapes for the leadership in Section Four.

Grapes ran out 7-2 winners.

Third placed Lion Stonecutters lost ground on the leaders when they went down 5-4 to Pavilions while Alfie's Arrows gained their first points of the season when they beat Raven 5-4.

Dockside lead Section Two after inflicting the second defeat on the run to Red Admiral by 5-4.

Kev's Killers are in joint second place along with Red Admiral after beating rivals Navvy Lads 6-3.

Likely Lads went down 7-2 to Halfway Gents.

The Burma lost their chance of taking over at the top of Section Five when they lost 6-3 to unbeaten leaders Total Confusion.

Prospect Has Beens were able to move up to second place after comprehensively beating bottom team Dockies MT's 8-1 while a 6-3 win against Jolly Brewer sees Union Tavern remain in fourth position.

With unbeaten Section One leaders Halfway A having an open date, attention here was focused on the second place and Navvy held on to this spot beating local rivals Albion 6-3.

Tranny Lads are in third place after beating Lion Doo Waps 6-3.

Tricorn gained their second league win of the season by beating bottom team Clarry B 6-3.

RNA are now level on points with open-dated Section Three leaders Halfway Mixed after beating Outcasts 5-4 with the losers slipping to third place.

Dreadnaughts gained their first points of the season when they beat Jimmy's Jugglers.

Wanderers lost out 6-3 to Halton Marauders.

Quayside were able to get within two points of open-dated Section Six leaders Tranny Rovers after beating The Tup 6-3 while at the foot of the table Royal Oak Aces met Castle Knights with both still searching for the first win of the season.

The honours went to Castle Knights who ran out 6-3 winners.

The first round of the Doubles Competition took place on Friday, with the quickest game of the night going to Clarry B's Tim Evans and Mike Madigan who recorded a 16-dart game.

Kevin Jones and Ian Darlington (Navvy) had a 19 darter while maximums were provided by Gordon White (Halfway Mixed) and Paul Walsh (Tricorn).

Steve Roberts (Halfway A) had to play on his own but he still managed to beat his two opponents.

This Friday night starts at about 7.30pm. English International player Ian White will be taking on all comers at the Fiddlers III pub.
