DRUG-BUSTING police programme Operation Panther has led to more arrests this week.

Guy Fairhurst, aged 26, of Whitfield Grove, Haydock, was charged with possession of a Class B drug and appeared at St Helens Magistrates' Court on Monday.

He has been bailed and will next appear on Tuesday, July 4.

A 39-year-old woman, from Newton, was arrested on suspicion of common assault and abstracting electricity.

A 41-year-old Newton man was also arrested on suspicion of abstracting electricity and for possession of a Class B drug.

And two men, one aged 24 and the other aged 26, both from Haydock, were arrested on suspicion of possession of a Class A Drug with intent to supply.

All have been bailed pending further inquiries.
