WITH reference to the 'tug-of-war' letter, Letters, June 14.
I think that the tug-of-war game is a brilliant idea.
You have got nothing to do but have another enormous lunch and by this point you are sick of them, so instead, get fit with a friendly game of tug-of-war.
You might also make friends and have a good time.
It could also then be turned into a charity event and if you can't pull, then pay!
It would be for a good cause and because the game is local, we make the charity local.
That way everyone wins.
Great idea, Mr Burley.
